60 years - CHINESE STATE CIRCUS QIQIHAR - since 1952

The Chinese State Circus from Qiqihar was founded in 1952 and counts amongst China's best, most famous and greatest circus companies. It has been awarded the status of 'National Circus' by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China for its performance and its achievements over many years and specialises in trapeze and aerial artistry. The programme of the Chinese State Circus is being presented in the national style of China. The artistry of the Chinese master acrobats has no equal and sets unattainable standards. The body control, elegance and gracefulness just has to be seen in order to be able to envisage the unforgettable, perfect unity of spirit, body and soul.

Since 1952, the Chinese State Circus has performed in over 600 cities and communities outside China, amongst others in Korea, Vietnam, Canada, South and Central America, Australia, Japan, France, the USA, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Austria, Denmark, Tanzania, Mexico and Spain. In and around China, the Circus has visited over 100 cities in 25 provinces and autonomous regions. In short, one can say that the acrobats' performance has been received with enormous applause and standing ovations in more than 30 countries on 6 continents. The Chinese State Circus has participated as a major feature in more than 10 films and television productions and has become a business card for the People's Republic of China.

All performances begin with a colourful opening parade including all acrobats. In the ring, daredevil trapeze artists, beautiful girl acrobats on unicycles, breath-taking aerial acrobats, female contortionists, bamboo acrobats and many more enchanted bodies will enthral you with spectacular artistry presented in stunning perfection. In the opulent finale, the acrobats present themselves once more, and with the audience, they celebrate a good-bye party that will forever find a place in your heart.
